One of our members is an ardent blogger (maintains 9 blogs! http://crazeepatches.blogspot.com ) & computer trainer. She has offered to assist members who wish to create a blog (using Blogger-its free!) and learn how to maintain it themselves. Its easy & you should be able to design, upload pictures & introduce your work & yourself, all within a day.. no sweat!

Start an Online Members Portfolio!
We have tried many times to create a portfolio that embodies the ESSENCE OF OUR GUILD, our members in their DIVERSITY ! The task is mammoth. So, we shall first take 'baby' steps and utilize current technology to gather, edit & publish an ONLINE version of the promised book, to reach a wider audience with the hope of INTRODUCING our talented members to the world and create more opportunities for everyone!
So, we urge, all members, DO NOT hesitate, DO NOT delay ... do send us your bio-data/photos or a 50-150 word comment on your favourite art/craft activity. This however will be edited for length & relevancy.

To all Past & Present ACG members
Although the past year has been a quiet one, we are currently looking for ways to be RELEVANT & BENEFICIAL to the members.
Through the many, many years, we've discovered so many members with diverse INTERESTS & ARTISTIC TALENTS.
From the established artists, emerging artists; right down to self-taught artists & crafters to hobbyist and those who appreciate the beauty of an artwork, although they are not the practitioners.
From oil painters & watercolourists to potters & ceramists; embroiderers, fashion & patchwork designers; to tole painting, wood-turners, and many others crafters... we all come together for the love of creating BEAUTIFUL art & EXPRESSING ourselves.
So much so that whenever we gather together, the camaraderie is wonderful! So much SYNERGY, so much SHARING & LEARNING.
We don't want to part, but daily life & domestic & economic pressures have weaken this bond and it is unfortunate that while we make time for our families, our careers, our commitments, we have left out one important component that would make our life happier - ie. CREATION, APPRECIATION & ENJOYMENT of the arts & crafts.
